The Carpenter has been busy making some beautiful French Rolling Pins. I LOVE LOVE mine. I find they are much easier than the handle style pins. So, I followed Julia Child’s example and threw my old handled rolling pin away.
I love the figured wood pattern. The pictures don’t do the shimmering grain justice.
Hope you are all enjoying these last days of winter. I love the small gardening break but I also love the planning and dreaming that comes in this season.

February 20, 2016 3:40 pmUseful is a relative term. If the wood does not make the grade it gets recycled as firewood. I love watching the frustrations burn.

February 20, 2016 7:51 pmHow could youthrow that vintage rolling pin away after rolling out all those delicious doughs for bread, pies, and cinnimon rolls. Then throw it away like a piece of firewood. I know, you just wanted a new one your hubby made you?
